The piece
By Bertolt Brecht · Directed by Shebly Al Baw
From Brecht's The Private Life of the Master Race — his first openly anti-Nazi work — portraying 1930s Germany as a land of poverty, violence, fear and pretence. This production premiered in September 2019 at Al Harah Theater studio in Bethlehem.
A high-class woman must accept the idea of falling into poverty — a woman used by her husband, himself a marionette of the party controlling Germany. He is left surprised when she refuses him and walks away with everything.
